Description: As we all know that today we are celebrating birthday of Pandit Jawaharlal Lal Nehru who was the first Prime Minister of India. We all know that Pandit Jawaharlal Lal Nehru was also known as Chacha Nehru because he loved children very much, so this day is also celebrated as Children’s Day.
St. Francis School, Samlong, Ranchi celebrated Children’s Day by organizing Sports Programme on this day for all the classes Nursery to X. Children were excited for the day. The programme was started with small prayer service; teachers gave their efforts for wonderful song which was sung during the prayer service. The Principal, Manager, Coordinator, Head Boy & Head Girl were called Lighting the Lamp, & putting the Garland on photo of Pandit Jawaharlal Lal Nehru. After the prayer service children participated in many events like Frog Race, Sac Race, 100 Meter Race, 400 meter Race, long jump, busting the balloons & relay race. Sweets, Pen, Pencil were distributed to the children as a Children’s Day Gift.
